So this was my 10th trip to Las Vegas. It’s not because I love to gamble (I do, but that’s not the point), but the flights and hotels are so cheap that pretty much any budget can have a good time in Vegas. I’ve been to Vegas and spent $500 over 3 days and I’ve been to Vegas and spent $5000 over 3 days.
The last trip was a bit more economical as I brought the whole family (wife, daughter, and her bf). To save money, I was able to get a three night stay at the Mirage hotel using myVEGAS Reward points from MGM Resorts (I just had to pay the daily resort fee). Basically you earn points by playing slot games on your phone or on Facebook that you can then redeem for free hotel rooms, meals, show tickets, etc. In addition to the 3 night stay, we redeemed points for 2-1 show tickets to see Zumanity, the sensual Cirque Du Soleil show playing at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino.
Vegas pretty much has stayed the same over the years. Usually it’s just one or two new hotels or an old one rebranded. The one big change since my last visit was the reduction of taxi cabs and the introduction of Uber and Lift. As a guy that normally avoids taxis if possible, I really enjoyed this new change. This time we used riding sharing to get all over Vegas, even to and from the airport, which from my experience most cities don’t allow.
The most memorable meal from this trip was at Hash House A Go Go at the Linq hotel (there are several locations in Vegas now). The food was good and I recommend giving it a try. Make sure to go with a hungry stomach as the portions are huge.
Since this was my 10th time in Vegas I didn’t take many pictures. Below are a few of my favorites from previous trips. Cheers.
