Welcome to Good Journey
Welcome to Good Journey. We are Rona and Dana. We take the trips, survive the chaotic traffic, and test the boutique hotels so you do not have to guess.
Planning a milestone vacation takes hours of research. Wading through endless reviews and trying to avoid tourist traps ruins the fun of travel before you even pack your bags. We built this website to share our exact routes, honest hotel reviews, and favorite local food tours. We want to hand you the blueprint for your next unforgettable adventure.
What You Will Find Here
- Real Experiences: We only write about places we visit. If we recommend a boutique hotel or a local restaurant, we slept in the bed and ate the food.
- Step-by-Step Itineraries: From coastal Canadian road trips to multi-country Asian adventures, we break our routes down day by day so you can easily replicate them.
- Honest Advice: We share the logistics. You will learn how to read tide charts, navigate foreign subway systems, and confidently book the best guided tours.
The Tech Behind the Blog
Travel represents only one of my passions. I work a corporate day job and run this website on evenings and weekends. Managing thousands of high-resolution travel photos from our trips to Japan and Vietnam presented a massive challenge for the blog.
I decided to solve my own problem. I created a custom tool called CROW Image to crop, resize, optimize, and watermark my photos privately. Building digital tools keeps me creative outside of travel planning. I recently expanded my work to include a movie tracking app and an options trading app.
You can explore all my software projects on my portfolio page.
